[i]merchant release 12.01.04
The latest release for our [i]merchant Inventory Control/Point-of-Sale
system is now available for our users. Included in it are a host
of new features and capabilities. These include:
• Purchasing Agent – a tool for creating one or many
purchase orders that uses established vendor rules for minimum
dollar and unit requirements as well as selecting the appropriate
discount based upon the quantity ordered.
• Physical Inventory – a complete set of programs
that when used in conjunction with our portable, hand-held scanner,
allows for the efficient capture of the current inventory position
of the entire store or selected areas of it; comparison of that
to the system totals; and the adjustment of that inventory position
as needed.
• Global Product Maintenance – make global changes
to the properties of inventory items.
• Landed Cost – assign freight cost to individual
products using a store-determined factor during the receiving
process so that costs are accurate.
• Magazine Imports – import new magazine products
and import ASN (Advance Ship Notice) magazine files. This import
will create a purchase order ready to receive, and will update
any changes to UPC’s and will add new issues as needed.
• Multi-Store Transfers – the system will create
a purchase order for the receiving store and remove the transferred
amount from the sending store.
• Point-of-Sale – the store can program every keyboard
key, including the letters, numbers, and function keys, to initiate
a function or to be a quick key for easily bringing often-sold
items into a register sale.
