The Inventory Change Log Inquiry program allows you to view the onhand adjustments (via sale, return, etc.) for products within your store's inventory. Each onhand adjustment, along with handy information for that adjustment, is shown for each product selected. You can run the Inquiry for as many products as you want, or just one. You can also select a defined date range to run the Inquiry against, or you can run it against the lifetime history of your store's inventory records. Obviously, the more products you run the Inquiry for, and the more broad the date range you run it against, the longer the list of results will be once the Inquiry is run.
To access the Inventory Change Log Inquiry program:
From the [i] Merchant Main Menu, select Tools-Administration-Inventory Change Log Inquiry. The Inventory Change Log Inquiry Find screen appears. This is where you will define which products you want to view. You have several Search options to choose from, including date ranges, reason for onhand change, and quantity of the onhand change, along with searching by product and other parameters. Use standard Find techniques to define the Search.
Once the Search has been run, a list of products that fall within the Search's parameters display in the grid at the bottom of the screen. Every row represents an onhand adjustment for a particular product. Look over the information--there is a lot of it. The columns provide you with everything you would want to know about each onhand adjustment.
To view the Product Properties for any product in the grid, highlight it and click on the Product icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen--or simply double-click on the product and the Properties page will be called up. Additionally, if you highlight a product in the grid and then right-click, a navigational menu will appear.
