The Buying Manager program aids you in the buying process. With this program, you can look at a list of products based on specifications you set and then place those products onto the TBO screen, either one at a time, in groups, or all at once. The Buying Manager essentially helps you make buying decisions in an efficient and effective manner. You can either make decisions manually on whether or not and in what quantity to place products on the TBO screen, or you can have the Buying Manager "decide" for you based on either the Restock Rule or the Auto Buy function. The decision ultimately is in your hands. Buying Manager provides you with the tools to make good decisions.
To access the Buying Manager:
From the [i] Merchant Desktop, select Modules-Purchasing-Buying Manager. The Buying Manager window opens.
Keep in mind, the essential focus of the Buying Manager is to add product to the TBO screen. Everything you do in Buying Manager is tailored toward that one task. Hence, the first order of business is to select products you want to view in the Buying List, at the bottom of the screen. Once viewed, you can decide whether or not to place the products onto the TBO screen, and in what quantity (alas, Buying Manager is designed to help you make these decisions).
There are two basic portions of the Buying Manager screen: the work screen (at the top), and the Buying List (at the bottom). The work screen is where you set the criteria to determine, among other things, which products will display in the Buying List at the bottom of the screen. The Buying List fills up with products that match the criteria you set on the work screen once your query has been run. The Buying List has a number of informational columns. We will get back to some of these columns in a bit--they are very important.
So, how do you set the criteria on the work screen that decide which products you want to view in the Buying List? It's a layered process.
The first aspect of selecting which products you want to view deals with the Restock Rules. There is a small section of the work screen, at the upper left, under the heading, "Rules to calculate quantity to restock". There are two date fields here--Period Start and Period End, and a Transactions field. The date in both date fields defaults to yesterday's date. The default for the Transactions field is "Sale".
The Restock Rules criteria on the work screen have a direct impact on the Restock column in the Buying List. The Restock column will have a value in it for each product that shows up on the Buying List once the query has been run. This value represents the suggested quantity to reorder (i.e., add to the TBO screen) determined by the Restock Rules.
What are the Restock Rules? They are very basic, very simple--essentially they operate under a 1-for-1 concept. If you sold 1 copy of the product, then the Restock Rule recommends you reorder 1 copy, and so on. Restock Rules are "dumb"--that is, they do not look at existing POs, Customer Orders, or numbers of copies already placed on the TBO screen. They also deal exclusively with the transaction type selected in the Transactions field on the work screen referenced above. But we're getting ahead of ourselves here.
To set the values for the fields that determine the criteria for the Restock Rules (and the entire query):
Click on the Restock rules toolbar at the top left of the Buying Manager screen. The Buying Session Properties window appears. This is where you will set the values for all three of the fields mentioned above: Period Start, Period End, and Transactions.
As mentioned above, both the Period Start and Period End fields will default to yesterday's date. Change them as desired. Here is how they work.
The Period Start field is just what it says: It is the start date the query will use to run the search. In other words, for example, if you want to view products that sold between 2/06/06 and 3/06/06, your Period Start would be 2/06/06. (You can either key in the desired date or click on the down arrow at the right of the field to pull up a mini-calendar, from which you can select the desired date.)
The Period End field is the end date the query will use to run the search. In the example just used, the Period End would be 3/06/06. (You can either key in the desired date or click on the down arrow at the right of the field to pull up a mini-calendar, from which you can select the desired date.)
Keep in mind, these fields will dictate how the Restock value in the Restock column of the Buying List will behave. In the above example, the query will only look at inventory changes that occurred between 2/06/06 and 3/06/06. Any changes that occurred before 2/06/06 or after 3/06/06 will be ignored. So, for the Restock Rules concerning sales, if a product was sold 12 times between the Period Start and Period End, the Restock value for that product in the Buying List would be 12 (1-for-1 basis; 12 sold, 12 should be reordered).
But the Period Start and Period End dates apply to more than just this. Keep them in mind. We will return to them again later.
The Transactions field deals with the type of transaction for which you want to apply the Restock Rule. The default is Sale, but you can change it to any of a handful of other options. For example, you can select Transfer. If you select Transfer here, the Restock Rules will now apply to transfer quantities only. So, using the date range above, let's say the product sold 12 times. If you had chosen Sale in the Transactions field, then the Restock column in the Buying List would have a value of 12 for this product. But if you chose Transfer in the Transactions field, the Restock Rule is no longer concerned with sales. It is looking at transfers now. So, for this product, during the date range specified, let's say there were no transfers. If you run the query with a Transfer transaction type, the Restock field in the Buying List will fill in with a 0 for this product. There were no transfers, so no reorders are suggested.
The important concept to grasp, then, is: Restock Rules are specific to the transaction type selected in the Transactions field on the work screen. It will always be a 1-for-1 concept for Restock Rules, but the Restock column will only apply to the type of transaction you chose in the Transactions field.
|
Note: |
This is not true of the Auto-Buy column in the Buying List. Regardless of which type of transaction you select in the Transactions field, the Auto-Buy column will always fill in with a reorder suggestion based on the product's sales information. More on Auto-Buy in a bit. |
To accept the Restock Rules criteria:
Select Accept at the bottom of the Buying Session Properties window. (Selecting Cancel backs you out of the window without accepting the criteria.) You will be returned to the Buying Manager screen, and the three fields under "Rules to calculate quantity to restock" will be filled in according to how you set them.
The Restock Rules you just set (Period Start, Period End, and Transactions), in addition to their above influence over the Restock value in the Buying List, also help shape the overall query, or can shape the overall query, depending on how you want to run it. The Restock Rules can work in conjunction with the next grouping of fields on the work screen. This grouping is called: "Add products to Buying list for review".
This section of the work screen consists of three tabs: Select products from the Product list, Select products based on changes in inventory, and Select products currently in TBO list.
The Restock Rules criteria directly determine which products will display in the Buying List if you choose tab number two (changes in inventory). But if you select tab one or three, the Period Start and Period End fields and the Transactions field will NOT determine which products display on the Buying List. (They will determine the values in certain fields--more on this later--but not the products that display.)
Let's deal with tabs one and three first. If you run a query on products from your product list (tab one), the program will not pay attention to the Restock Rules criteria to determine which products appear in the Buying List. It will look only to the query itself. (More on setting up queries in a minute.) So, for example, you may have Restock Rules with a Period Start of 2/06/06, a Period End of 3/06/06, and a Transactions field set to "Sale". Let us say you choose tab one and run the query for all books in your Gardening Department. When you run the query, ALL books in your Gardening Department will appear in the Buying List, including ones that did not sell between 2/06/06 and 3/06/06.
If you select tab three (products currently on TBO list), again, the program will only look at the query itself (not the Restock Rules) to determine which products appear on the Buying List.
If you, however, select tab two (changes in inventory), the program will select the products to display on the Buying List that appear on the query but which also match the Restock Rules criteria. So, for example, let's say you want to look at all books in your Gardening Department that sold ("Sales" in the Transactions field under Restock Rules) between 2/06/06 (Period Start) and 3/06/06 (Period End). When you run the query, ONLY those books that fit this criteria will appear in the Buying List.
The most logical question at this point is: What's a query? How do I set it up? How do I even select books in my Gardening Department to appear in the Buying List? Here is how you set up queries in Buying Manager:
When you select any of the three tabs (Select products from the Products list, Select products based on changes in inventory, and Select products currently in TBO list), the Query window appears. The Query window is where you select which products should display in the Buying List--in other words, certain departments in your store, etc.
Once in the Query window, you can either select to run an existing query or create a new query. Let's learn how to create a new query first . . .
Click on the "Manage saved queries" button at the top right of the query window. A dropdown menu appears.
From this dropdown menu, select "Create a new query to save". A small window appears, prompting you to name the query you are about to create.
Key in the name of your new query in the blank line where the cursor displays, then click on the OK button. The name you just keyed in will display in the "Select saved query" field back in the Query window.
Now it is time to select the criteria for the new query. What do you want your query to include? Which products? Your query can be as narrow or as wide as you want it to be.
Choose the category you want to define your query by in the Select Field field by clicking on the down arrow at the right of the field. A pulldown list of categories appears. Click on the one you want. Once selected, it displays in the Select Field field. For an example, let us say you selected Department Category.
In the Select Operation field, choose Like, equal to, From, To, between, NULL, Not =, or Not NULL.
In the Choose Value field, choose the value or values that define the selection criteria. With the Department Category example, say you chose "equal to" in the Select Operation field. If you then select "FD/Food" in the Choose Value field, the query will be run for all products with a Department Category of Food ("FD" being the code, "Food" being the description).
For applicable categories (such as Department Category), there will be a binoculars icon at the right of the Choose Value field. If you need to view information on how to select a parameter in a code-driven field, please click here.
If you selected "between" in the Select Operation field, two fields will display under Choose Value. In the top field, choose the start value. In the bottom field, select the ending value. For example, if you selected Publication Date in the Select Field field and you want to run the query for products ordered between pub dates 1/01/01 and 1/01/05, you would select "between" in the Select Operation field, key in 1/01/01 in the top Choose Value field, and key in 1/01/05 in the bottom Choose Value field.
For Date categories (such as Publication Date), a calendar will display if you click on the down arrow at the right of the Choose Value field(s). This is a convenient way for you to select a particular date, if you'd rather not key it in.
Note:
If you choose any date-related category in the Select Field field, the Choose Value field will automatically default to the current day's date.
Once you have set the query fields the way you want, click on the Add button at the right of the Query window. The query criteria you just set will display in the Selected Ranges box. For example, if you selected a Department Category of FD (Food), then "Department Category = FD (Food)" will display in the Selected Ranges box.
Note:
If you want to blank out the query fields and begin again (prior to clicking on Add), click on the Cancel button. The query fields are blanked out.
Repeat the above process as many times as you want to define the criteria for your query. Each time you establish a new set of criteria and click on the Add button, the new criteria will display in the Selected Ranges box. The more sets of criteria you select, the more specific the parameters of the query will be. So, for example, you may set criteria for multiple categories in order to run a well-defined, highly specific query. Perhaps you want to run the query with the following specifications: Department Category = Food, Publication Date between 1/01/01 and 1/01/05, and Store Number 1. Simply define these criteria, one after the other, until all are set. When the query is run, it will only display results that fall under all of these specifications. For example, if a product had been ordered from Store 1 (within the range you set) but was not published between 1/01/01 and 1/01/05 (as you defined), then the product would not display in the Buying List back on the Buying Manager screen. To run a less-defined query, simply remove some of the criteria. There is no limit to the criteria. If you want to define 100 sets of criteria, you can.
After creating the criteria for this new query, click on the Manage saved queries button and select "Save the current query". At this point, you can run the query in Buying Manager immediately, or you can exit the query without running it.
Let's take a closer look now at the other selections under the Manage saved queries button.
Two choices allow you either to view the list of queries saved only by you or the list of queries saved by everyone on the system. This is user-definable and up to you. Choose whichever makes the most sense. You can switch back and forth anytime you like, but the system will always default to the way you left it the last time you were in the Query program.
These two selections have a direct impact on the Select saved query field to the left. This field has a pulldown arrow. Click on the arrow and a dropdown menu displays, listing all of the saved (existing) queries you can choose from. When you select one, that query's criteria will display in the window. At that point, you can run the query.
If you selected only to view queries you yourself created under the Manage saved queries button, then only queries you created and saved will display under the Select saved query field. If, however, you chose to view all queries on the system under the Manage saved queries button, then all queries (created by all the users on the system) will display under the Select saved query field.
The last choice under the Manage saved queries button is a "Delete the current query" option. Clicking on this will call up a dialogue box that asks you if you want to delete the query that's displayed. If you do, simply click on "Yes". The query will be deleted.
Pay attention to one more field in the Query window: "Include inactive (deleted) records that meet the selection criteria". If you check this field, records that have been deleted from [i] Merchant will be included in the query. If you leave the field unchecked, these records will not be included, even if they fall under the query's criteria ranges.
To run the query, click on the Run the query button at the bottom of the Query window. (Click on Exit without running the query if you do not wish to run the query.)
If you run the query, you will be returned to the Buying Manager screen, and a message box will display letting you know that the query is being run--and the number of records the query turned up will also display. Once the query has been completed, all of the applicable items appear in the Buying List at the bottom of the Buying Manager screen. (Up to 1,000 records can appear on the Buying List at one time. If more records are called up by the query than can display at one time, a scroll bar will be present at the right of the List. And standard Windows navigational keyboard keys--Home, End, Page Up, Page Down are active to help you navigate through a long list.)
Some of the fields under the Buying List are color coded when the records first appear. Here is an explanation of the color codes.
Any record that has an onhand amount greater than zero will have its onhand amount coded green. Ant record that has a problem concerning its onhand amount (such as a negative onhand amount) will be coded red.
Any record that the system has suggested to be reordered, regardless of quantity (i.e., a value of 1 or greater), either under the Restock column or the Auto-Buy column, will be coded green. (It will be coded green under the Restock column if a value of 1 or greater is present; it will be coded green under Auto-Buy if a value of 1 or greater is present; or it will be coded green in both columns if a value of 1 or greater is present in both columns.)
Keep in mind, the purpose of the Buying Manager program is to suggest reorder quantities, and enable you to apply these suggested amounts to the TBO screen. The values under the Restock column are suggested reorder quantities. The values under the Auto-Buy column are also suggested reorder quantities. Many times, these values will differ. You can choose to apply the Restock quantity or the Auto-Buy quantity to the TBO screen for the records, or you can still manually choose a different quantity altogether, or no quantity at all. The decision rests with you.
Important:
The values under the Restock column and the Auto-Buy column apply to the date range you selected under the Restock Rules (Period Start and Period End). If, for example, you chose a Period Start of 2/06/06 and a Period End of 3/06/06, the Restock and Auto-Buy values will only apply to that date range. If a product had sold prior to 2/06/06 or after 3/06/06, that sale will not be reflected in the Restock column value or the Auto-Buy column value, since it falls outside of your date range.
Restock quantities were mentioned earlier. They represent a 1-for-1 reordering mentality dependent on the transaction type you chose in the Transactions field. If a product displayed on the Buying List has sold 10 times in the date range selected under the Restock Rules, and you chose "Sale" in the Transactions field, then a quantity of 10 will appear under the Restock column for that product.
Auto-Buy is different. One, it only looks at sales, regardless of the transaction type selected in the Transactions field. Second, Auto-Buy is controlled by the Reorder Rule. The Reorder Rule is defined for each product in Product Properties.
At this point, you can either apply the Restock-suggested reorder quantity or the Auto-Buy-suggested reorder quantity to all (or a group of, or just one of) the records in your Buying List right on the Buying Manager screen, or you can navigate through the List one product at a time and go through the reordering process on a product-by-product basis. Your preference will be determined by how much information you want to see when you schedule the reorder. Selecting Restock or Auto-Buy right at the Buying Manager screen is a quick process, but you won't see the in-depth inventory details for the products as you would if you schedule the reorders on a product-by-product basis.
Let's look at how you do a mass reordering at the Buying Manager screen first:
If you want to add the Restock column's value to the TBO screen for all products on the Buying List:
Click on the Restock button in the Buying Manager toolbar at the top of the screen. A "Proceed with Restock" dialogue box appears. It will ask you if you want to apply the Restock values to all the products on the List (and some of the products on the Buying List likely will have a Restock value of 0--for these products, no reorder quantity will be added to the TBO screen). Select "Yes" if you want to proceed, "No" if you do not.
If you go ahead and proceed, the following will happen. Once the process has been run, the Add to TBO column in the Buying List will fill in with the value from the Restock column for each product in the List. This tells you that the Restock value will be applied to the TBO screen. However, nothing has been added to the TBO screen yet. Notice that the Restock value has been placed in the Add to TBO column, but it has NOT yet been added to the Current TBO column. One step still remains.
To finalize the process and place the Add to TBO column amounts to the Current TBO column (in other words, to place the orders onto the actual TBO screen), click on Save in the toolbar at the top of the Buying Manager screen. A Save changes? dialogue box appears. To save the changes and actually place the order quantities onto the TBO screen, click on "Yes". To back out without saving the changes (and therefore not placing the order quantities onto the TBO screen), click on "No".
If you select "No", you are returned to the Buying Manager screen, and the Add to TBO column still has the Restock values in it. You can either proceed with this Buying Manager session using a different tool (such as Auto-Buy) or back out.
If you select "Yes", the values in the Add to TBO column are transferred to the Current TBO column, because the quantities are now saved to the I Merchant database and are now residing on the TBO screen. The Add to TBO column's figures are returned to 0. You have scheduled these products to be reordered using the Restock values.
If you want to add the Auto-Buy column's value to the TBO screen for all products on the Buying List:
Click on the Auto-Buy icon in the toolbar at the top of the Buying Manager window. At this point, follow the same steps just outlined above for Restock. The difference here is that the Auto-Buy column's values (as opposed to the Restock column's values) will be transferred first to the Add to TBO column and then, when you Save the changes, to the Current TBO column.
Note:
When you Apply the Restock or Auto-Buy, and updates have been made to the Add to TBO column, the entire row for the changed products will be color coded green. This color coding is meant to tell you at a glance that changes to the TBO values for these products have taken place during the Buying Manager session. (Products that had a suggested reorder amount of 0 will not be color coded, since their Add to TBO column has not changed--it remains 0.)
To add either the Restock column's value or the Auto-Buy column's value to the TBO screen for a group of products or a single product (but not all of the products) on the Buying List:
Scroll through the Buying List and, using standard Windows techniques, select the record or records you want to place onto the TBO screen. Then click on either the Restock toolbar icon or the Auto-Buy icon, depending on which method you want to use, and proceed the same way as just described above.
Before going into detail on how to place orders onto the TBO screen using a detailed product-by-product method, let's focus on the top right quadrant of the Buying Manager screen. We've just detailed how to place an entire list of products or a partial list of products (or one product) onto the TBO screen straight from the Buying Manager screen. The top right portion of the Buying Manager screen tells the system which vendor should be used for the products in the Buying List, once transferred to the TBO screen, as well as what type of order to be used.
Under Default Vendor for items to order, there are two choices.
If you choose "Use vendor of record for each product", the vendor to be selected at the TBO screen will be the vendor of record for each applicable product, based on each product's vendor of record as defined in Product Properties.
The other choice, "Use selected vendor", allows you to use one vendor for all products scheduled to be reordered during a Buying Manager session. It consolidates all scheduled reorders in the Buying Manager session to go through one vendor. The Selected Vendor field only applies if you select "Use selected vendor" (if you choose "Use vendor of record for each product", the Selected Vendor field will be grayed out). Simply click on the binoculars icon at the right of the field and choose the vendor you want to use via the Find Vendor program. This will be the vendor each scheduled-to-be-reordered product in this Buying Manager session will be ordered from.
In the Default Type of Order field, click on the down arrow at the right and choose the TBO order Type to be used for all products scheduled to be ordered through this Buying Manager session.
If you want to see more in-depth inventory detail or select the quantity to be reordered manually (i.e., independent of Restock or Auto-Buy), you can schedule products to be reordered on a detailed product-by-product basis in the Buying Manager. To do this:
From the Buying List, highlight one record or a group of records (or all of the records) and then either double-click on the desired record(s), or select Edit Items from the toolbar at the top of the Buying Manager screen. This opens the Buying Detail screen for the first selected record from the Buying List.
The top portion of the Buying Detail screen is a collection of information--it cannot be changed. The product title, number, and vendor of record (among other things) are displayed, as well as the Restock and Auto-Buy values the Buying Manager is recommending. The Sales field lists the number of copies sold for this product between the Period Start and Period End dates as defined in the Restock Rules.
To the left of the To Be Ordered (TBO) box, there is an Inventory Summary section. Again, this is informational, meant to aid you in the reordering process. The last field in the Inventory Summary is "Projected on hand", which factors current onhand with other factors (Customer Orders, copies already on the TBO screen, POs, etc.).
The bottom of the Buying Detail screen is user-definable, and you can set it any way you like via the Screen Designer. Essentially, this portion of the screen is informational. It's for your benefit. To access the Buying Detail user-definable section in the Screen Designer:
From the [i] Merchant Desktop, select Tools-Screen Designer. When the Screen Designer opens, choose File-Open from Database-Product Viewer-Buying Detail, then design the screen the way you want it.
After viewing the information on the Buying Detail screen for the product, you now need to make the reordering decision.
If you want to reorder the product (i.e., add it to the TBO screen) using the Restock value:
Click on the Restock icon in the toolbar at the top of the Buying Detail screen. In the TBO box, a new row will be added underneath rows already present. (The rows already present reflect orders currently on the TBO screen.) If there were no rows filled in, then the first row's blank fields will fill in with the applicable information. Under the Quantity column, the value will match what was in the Restock field. The Type and Vendor fields will fill in based on how you set them back at the Buying Manager screen (and please note that the Type and Vendor fields are required fields--you will not be able to proceed without filling them in). If you did not fill them in there, fill them in here. You can also change these fields from the values set back at the Buying Manager screen, if desired. Under the Comment field, key in any relevant comment, if you wish. This is an optional column.
At this point, you can cancel the update if you decide you don't want to reorder the product using the method you just selected. To cancel:
Click on the Cancel icon in the toolbar at the top of the Buying Detail screen. The row that had been added within the TBO box is deleted. If you want, you can schedule a reorder using a different reordering method (such as Auto-Buy), or you can back out of the Buying Detail screen for this product without suggesting any reorder.
To apply the update:
Click on the Close icon in the toolbar at the top of the Buying Detail screen. This returns you to the Buying Manager screen, and the Restock value for this product is now also listed under the Add to TBO column. (But see note below.) At this point, to save the change and move the Add to TBO amount to the Current TBO amount, click on Save at the toolbar at the top of the Buying Manager screen, as described above.
If you want to apply the Auto-Buy quantity for a product via the Buying Detail screen:
Repeat the just-mentioned steps above, except select the Auto-Buy icon in the Buying Detail toolbar, rather than Restock.
If you want to ignore the Reorder and Auto-Buy suggestions and decide to schedule a reorder manually in the Buying Detail screen for a product:
Click on the Add button within the TBO box. The Quantity column defaults to a 1, and the Type and Vendor fields fill in to match the defaults you set back on the Buying Manager screen. You can change any of the values in these fields. Once you have them set the way you want (including the Quantity to be reordered), click on the Apply toolbar icon and follow the same steps just outlined above (but see note below).
There are a few other toolbar icons on the Buying Detail screen that you should be aware of.
The Link icon has an arrow at the right of it. Click on the arrow, and a menu appears with a list of programs. If you click on any of the programs listed, you will be taken to that program for the product selected. For example, if you click on Properties, you will be taken to that product's Product Properties page. This icon is here for your navigational convenience.
The Notes icon lists the Notes, if any exist, for the highlighted product. Buying Detail Notes also can be maintained here.
The Next and Prior icons only display if you selected more than one record back on the Buying Manager screen, and they help you navigate through the records you selected from the Buying Manager's Buying List. Click on Next to navigate directly to the next selected record under the Buying List from Buying Manager without having to exit the Buying Detail screen. Likewise, to go back to the previous selected record on the List, click on Prior. (If you are viewing the first selected record on the List, the Prior icon will be grayed out. If you are viewing the last selected record on the List, the Next icon will be grayed out.) These icons provide you with the convenience of scrolling through the list of records without ever needing to back out of the Buying Detail screen.
If you have a group of records to scroll through in Buying Detail (i.e., you are using the Next/Prior icons), schedule the products to be reordered using Restock, Auto-Buy, or manually keying in a reorder quantity yourself. BUT, do NOT click on Apply until you are finished going through the entire list of products. At that time, click on Apply, and you will be returned to the Buying Manager screen. All of the reorder amounts will now be reflected in the Add to TBO column for every product you scheduled a reorder quantity for. If you had clicked on Apply while in the Buying Detail screen for the first product in your List, you would have been kicked out of Buying Detail and returned to Buying Manager. Then you would need to reselect the desired records on the Buying List and go back into Buying Detail. Holding off on clicking Apply allows you to scroll through every record in Buying Detail before having to return to Buying Manager.
Back at the Buying Manager screen, there are four more toolbar icons we have not yet mentioned.
If you want to delete a selected record or records from the Buying List at the bottom of the screen:
Highlight the record(s) you want deleted from the List, then click on the Delete items icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen. The selected record(s) are removed from the Buying List.
If you want to add some or all of the records from the Buying List at the bottom of the screen to an existing Product List, or create a new Product List:
Highlight the appropriate record(s), then click on the Product List toolbar icon at the top of the screen. You will be taken to the Product List Find window.
If you want to clear the entire Buying List (remove every record from the List and start over):
Click on the Clear all icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen. A dialogue box pops up, asking if you want to clear all the records from the List. Clicking on "Yes" removes all records from the Buying List. However, if you have already made changes to any records on the List, but have not yet saved the changes to the database (i.e., updated the Add to TBO column by clicking on Apply but not yet updated the Current TBO column by clicking on Save), the system will first ask if you want to save these changes before clearing the List. Click on "Yes" or "No". The List will now be cleared of all records.
If you want to turn on Grouping:
Click on the Grouping icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen. This turns on Grouping for the list of records.
Records in the Buying List do have the right-clicker context-sensitive menu attached to them. For more information on the right-click menu, please click here.
Notice under the Reports menu at the top of the screen, there is a Print Labels option. Selecting this will call up the Label Printer Selections window, from where you can print the barcode label for the selected product(s). Create your store's barcode label using the Label Designer. Review the information in the Printer Selections window (such as which printer to print to, how many copies to print, and the stock the labels will be printed on) to see if it is correct. Make any necessary changes. You can preview what the barcode label will look like by selecting the Preview button. When you are ready to print the label, simply click on the Print button at the lower left of the Print Label box.
Quick Report is also an option underneath the Reports menu.
If you wish to create a .csv file for the Buying Manager session you are running, select File-Create .csv File from the menu at the top of the screen.
